Under the motto "HR in Transition – Personnel Development Today and Tomorrow," the University of Göttingen invites you to the ENLIGHT Staff Week 2025. From May 14 to May 16, 2025, we offer an opportunity for in-depth dialogue about current and future-oriented concepts in personnel development, centered on a triad of Insight, Exchange, and Collaborate.

Each of the three days is dedicated to a key personnel development topic – onboarding, qualification, and strategic personnel development – and is divided into three phases:

• Insight: In the morning, inputs from Göttingen will provide opportunities for reflection and consideration of the current state of personnel development.
• Exchange: During the midday sessions, there will be interactive exchange formats. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from each other and share experiences. It is explicitly encouraged that participants bring examples from their own universities.
• Collaborate: In the afternoon, we will work together to identify potential starting points for future collaborations. The focus will be on the question: How can we work together towards sustainable personnel development? The goal is to identify synergies and develop ideas for cross-university projects.

With this ENLIGHT Staff Week, we create a space where personnel developers can discuss the changes within HR departments, learn from each other, and take new impulses for their own work.

A B2 level in English is recommended. To lower language barriers, you can join us also as a tandem.

Training offer nr 2: IT Services

Every year the University of Göttingen offers a staff training week for different target groups. This event is designed for IT staff. The programme is focused on different IT themes like help desk, data protection, e-learning and visits of IT-facilities. The programme consists of presentations (best practises of host university and partners), discussions, visits and social activities. We recommend a B2 level in English.

Training offer nr 3: Student and Academic Services

Every year the University of Göttingen offers a staff training week for different target groups. This event is designed for colleagues working in areas like International academic programme development, advisory services and/or e-learning and The programme consists of presentations (best practises of host university and partners), discussions, and social activities. We recommend a B2 level in English.
