CLARA POTIÉ // STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE OF ENLIGHT// UNIVERSTITY OF BORDEAUX
»ENLIGHT is a European university that helps connecting people. It’s also a way to be able to connect, learn and go on mobility in a very much simpler way.«
Meet Clara, a neuropsychology student from Bordeaux, passionate about the intersection of psychology and neuro-science. Currently studying her first-choice field, Clara values multidisciplinary learning and international collaboration. Through ENLIGHT European University, she’s taken part in the ENLIVE virtual exchange, where she explored new approaches to education and cross-cultural teamwork. Clara sees ENLIGHT as a powerful opportunity for connection, mobility, and academic growth, a perfect fit for her goal of becoming an international researcher.

Where are you from?
CLARA: I’m from Bordeaux
What are you studying? Was this your first choice of university?
CLARA: I’m studying neuropsychology. This was my first choice with neurosciences.
Why did you choose your field of study?
CLARA: I chose neuropsychology because it’s in the middle between psychology and neurosciences. This field really tries to be multidisciplinary and take inputs in other fields which I really enjoy!
How did you find out about ENLIGHT European University?
CLARA: I’ve seen it on our study platform (Moodle) where there’s everything related to international and language courses (espace langue) and through a friend working on the project inside the alliance.
Have you been a part of any ENLIGHT course?
CLARA: I’ve been a part of ENLIGHT through an ENLIVE exchange, which was a virtual exchange with a different university from the alliance.
How would you describe the experience?
CLARA: It was really interesting to explore a real-world or social issue in a completely different way than we’re used to. What made it even more engaging was the absence of a traditional teacher — instead, we had a facilitator who supported us only when needed. Aside from a few guidelines, everything came from us, the students, which was absolutely refreshing!

How do you feel participation in ENLIGHT has changed your perception of collaboration, reasearch and education?
CLARA: I don’t feel like it changed my perception, but it definitely extended the possibilities!
What motivated you to participate in ENLIGHT?
CLARA: I want to be a researcher, so I wanted to work and have international experiences, ENLIGHT was perfect for that.
Did you feel part of a broader academic community by taking part in ENLIGHT?
CLARA: Yes, of course, I feel like there are so many possible things, especially in countries that are not really, internationally known to be great on research.
How would you describe ENLIGHT in two sentences?
CLARA: ENLIGHT is a European university that helps connecting people. It’s also a way to be able to connect, learn and go on mobility in a very much simpler way.
What is the best book you read in the past year?
CLARA: The best book I’ve read last year, is « Désobéir » by F. Gros (2017)
If you were to recommend ENLIGHT to a fellow student, what would you say?
CLARA: I’d say it’s going to be complicated in the beginning, to understand and follow everything, but it gets better and ends up being such an amazing experience!
