ENLIGHT Challenge-based education was in the spotlight from several angles at the EUA Learning and Teaching Forum, hosted this year by the University of Bochum on the 8 February on the theme Learning for, in and with society.
Our ENLIGHT colleagues Mansi Sharma (Ghent University), Silvia Hlavinkova (Comenius University Bratislava) and Lobke Van Damme (Ghent University) led an accelerated introduction to the ENLIGHT CBE training in a session which allowed participants to gain insight into how ENLIGHT brings CBE to our educators and students.
Meanwhile, in parallel Myriam Ali-Oualla (University of Bordeaux) presented the IMAGO living lab project on sustainable student housing underlining how her involvement with ENLIGHT research and education initiatives has contributed to building the project and will help to develop its full potential. In the same session Indira Van der Zande (University of Groningen) presented research results on the impact of living lab projects on student learning. We were also able to cross over with the QA and digital teams from the University of the Basque Country during two days of sessions and discussion around societal engagement in higher education.
This event was a great opportunity to measure the impact of our ENLIGHT commitment to challenge-based approaches in education so far… to share that experience and expertise as well as gain insight from education leaders and experts from across Europe. A well-deserved and encouraging boost as we move into upscaling and developing CBE in the next phase of ENLIGHT!
