To mark the end of the first Taiwan Studies Programme cycle Ghent University hosts a series online lectures together with the University of Göttingen and the University of Groningen. The lectures are given by the Taiwan Chair holders who were selected during the past five years in the framework of the Taiwan Chair agreement.

About the Taiwain Studies programme
In 2016 Ghent University, the University of Göttingen and the University of Groningen signed the Taiwan Studies Programme agreement with the Department of International and Cross-Strait Relations of the Ministry of Education in Taiwan. For the past 5 years the 'Taiwan chair' rotated between the three EU universities to lecture about the relations between the EU and East-Asia with a special focus on the role of Taiwan.
