ENLIGHT Student Network hosted meeting on Quality Assurance

On 11 April the ENLIGHT Student Network hosted a meeting on Quality Assurance in Education, bringing together representatives from different central student representational bodies across ENLIGHT.

Each representative gave a brief presentation on their organization and university, focusing especially on how quality assurance in education works. Following the presentations, a joint discussion on the topic was held.

Although there are many differences in how the universities are organized, and how quality assurance is conducted, many similarities and joint challenges were identified. Some of these were the low participation in course evaluations, the lack of visibility of changes based on received feedback as well the insufficient knowledge dissemination to students of the different possibilities to participate and shape education.

The participants agreed that a joint, student-inclusive, approach to quality education within ENLIGHT is needed. As new courses and programs are being developed and launched, there needs to be a sustainable and just system in place to ensure everything is of good quality. The ENLIGHT Student Network and the university's central student representational bodies agreed to continue the discussions in a physical meeting later this year. The ambition is to approach this jointly, together with ENLIGHT and all of the universities.
