Join us for an enlightening and inspiring exploration into the future of energy at our upcoming event, "Circular Economy & Environment"on February 14th at 3 pm CET

Welcome to the intersection of sustainability and innovation - where energy use and the circular economy meet.

In this lecture, we will explore the transformative synergy between responsible energy practices and the principles of the circular economy. Together, we will unravel the threads that connect our energy consumption choices to the cycles that redefine our resource use. Join us for this brief yet enlightening exploration, where we will dissect the profound implications of harmonizing energy use and the circular economy to envision a more sustainable and resilient future.

In the upcoming lecture, four experts from ENLIGHT universities will share their insights from

  • Ana Picallo-Perez (University of the Basque Country) - Thermoeconomics for managing the efficiency of buildings thermals systems
  • Rachel McArdle (University of Galway) - Energy poverty and tenants: exploring the links between housing and energy in Ireland
  • Matùs Mišík (Comenius University) - EU energy policy following Russian invasion of Ukraine: Towards a common external energy policy?
  • Frans Sijtsma (University of Groningen) - Orchestrating the circular transition - building an effective organisational ecosystem

All members from the ENLIGHT community, external partners and wider public are welcome to join the lecture. Registration for the Zoom Session is possible on the website of the University of Göttingen (https://uni-goettingen.de/en/654488.html)

Networking event after the lecture for researchers from ENLIGHT universities

Each lecture is followed by a networking event for the scientific community. In the brand-new virtual space, the researchers from ENLIGHT universities can not only continue the discussion on the lecture`s topic but also use the opportunity to identify common research interests. This event serves as a platform for developing new ideas for future cooperation within the network. The ENLIGHT team supports this process by providing insights on funding opportunities. Researchers from all stages are more than welcome to join in! Please register here.
