On 4 and 5 December 2019 over a hundred representatives from the partner universities of the ENLIGHT consortium came together to work on their proposal, for the call for European Universities, that is due by the end of February 2020.
Senior executives, Staff from the International Offices and Academic Services as well as research and student representatives participated in the conference and engaged in lively debates within various working groups.
Each of the sessions focused on one working package of the proposal and evaluated its current state as well as further developed the intended incentives and deliverables. The “Internationalisation of Curricula” “Societal Partnership for Transformation and Global Outreach”, were only a few of the topics.
Especially the perspectives and experiences of the many student representatives played a vital role in the conference, as their insights are very valuable in the designing process of effective, relevant and feasible measures. In an additional session, the students also discussed the plan to establish an ENLIGHT Student network and possible common actions, for example on “Climate Day” on April 22.
