The fourth ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning Conference will take place at the University of Tartu from 7 to 9 October 2024. The conference theme is Innovation and Creativity in Higher Education.

Two honorary doctorates for ENLIGHT partners at UGent Dies Natalis 2024

Every year, on the penultimate Friday of March, Ghent University celebrates its Dies Natalis or birthday with a solemn session in the Aula and the presentation of honorary doctorates. On Friday, 22 March 2024, Ghent University awards six honorary doctorates for scientific merit. This year, the list includes Professor Ülo Mander (University of Tartu) and Professor Paul Michael Garrett (University of Galway). The honorary doctors are honoured during an official ceremony that can also be followed via livestream.

The ROCKET project (Göttingen, Groningen, Uppsala) kicks-off!

The universities of Göttingen, Groningen and Uppsala are proud to announce that their joint project ‘ROCKET: Role-Playing Games on Conflict Transformation for Equity in Higher Education through Virtual Exchange’ has been selected for funding by Erasmus+ as a cooperation partnership in higher education (funding 400.000 Euro).

A delegation from the University of Groningen, led by Rector Jacquelien Scherpen, recently visited the University of Bern. The visit was characterised by lively discussions and showed a strong interest from both sides in strengthening existing collaborations and exploring new opportunities within ENLIGHT.

ENLIGHT Challenge-based education at the 2024 EUA Learning and Teaching Forum!

ENLIGHT Challenge-based education was in the spotlight from several angles at the EUA Learning and Teaching Forum, hosted this year by the University of Bochum on the 8 February on the theme Learning for, in and with society.

University of Tartu to lead six Estonian centres of excellence in research

Over the next seven years, the Estonian government will fund ten centres of excellence addressing scientific issues of importance to Estonia. The University of Tartu leads six of them and participates as a partner in all other centres of excellence.
