How can we make teaching and learning more inclusive and diverse through critical virtual exchange and inclusive group work and feedback? How can role-playing games help our students explore issues of inclusion? What is conflict transformation? What new resources are being developed for the inclusive teacher? How can we adapt to include everyone? These are just some of the topics that will be covered on October 29 at the ROCKET outreach event. Participants will be encouraged to interact and experience the tools as much as possible.

Igor Farkaš, a prominent expert in artificial intelligence (AI), received the 2024 ESET Science Award in the category of Outstanding Personality in University Education. As a professor at Comenius University Bratislava and the associate chair of the Department of Applied Informatics, Farkaš has significantly contributed to AI research, particularly in the area of neural networks inspired by the human brain. His research focuses on the intersection of AI and robotics, particularly humanoid robots.

From 7 to 9 October, the University of Tartu hosted the ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning Conference 2024 on Innovation and Creativity in Higher Education. The conference in Tartu welcomed specialists in teaching and learning and others interested from all the ENLIGHT universities.    
 
The sessions, poster presentations, and workshops demonstrated countless possibilities for using and promoting creativity in teaching and learning in all fields, from medicine to mathematics. The conference hosted international professionals from various fields. The keynote speakers were Laura-Maija Hero, Principal Research Scientist at HAMK Edu research unit, and Jaan Aru, Associate Professor in Computational Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Tartu.

The ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning conference at University of Tartu began with a pre-event filled with engaging workshops. In the evening, the participants had a tasteful dinner accompanied with the 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀🏆 opened byTiina Jaksman, Coordinator of ENLIGHT at University of Tartu.
