In a step towards strengthening researcher engagement across the alliance, the Europe Support Network has established the ENLIGHT Early Career Researcher (ECR) Stakeholder Group—a dynamic cohort designed to bring fresh perspectives, grassroots insights, and future-focused energy into the network’s research and innovation ecosystem.
The ENLIGHT General Meeting 2025, hosted by Comenius University Bratislava (CU), brought together representatives from ten ENLIGHT universities for three days of reflection, strategic meetings, and celebration. Set against the backdrop of Slovakia’s capital, the gathering marked a significant milestone: five years since the founding of the ENLIGHT alliance. This year’s theme — “ENLIGHT at Five: Successes, Lessons, and the Road Ahead” — framed the meeting’s discussions, keynote contributions, and forward-looking decisions.

The upcoming ENLIGHT Student Network (SN) conference, hosted by the University of Tartu, will focus on digitalisation and AI. Around 100 students from 10 alliance universities are expected to participate in this exciting event, which promises a mix of lectures, workshops, and informal discussions.
As urban development and sustainable mobility gain importance, so does the micro-credential "Planning the 15-minute city for all", equipping participants with relevant knowledge and skills to plan and design cities accessible to everyone within a 15-minute commute.
Between 3 and 6 November 2025, the Mobility Taskforce brought together partners from across the alliance to strengthen student mobility.
What began as a one-week course abroad quickly grew into a Europe-wide journey of collaboration for Rando Simson. On 9 November, the FILMEU Strategic Leadership Council gathered in the quiet landscape of Lezíria Ribatejana in Portugal for its biannual retreat. This meeting brought together rectors and presidents of the FilmEU partner universities to reflect on strategic priorities and define the alliance’s future direction. For this edition, the Council invited an external expert from another European University Alliance: Glória Nunes Rodrigues from ENLIGHT, who was asked to share perspectives on impact and how alliances can strengthen it through innovative governance and managerial practices.
