LIFELINES – Intergenerational storytelling for an age-inclusive ENLIGHT campus
I am looking for: Project partners (one contact person per university) for an ENLIGHT+ proposal on intergenerational storytelling and age-inclusive campuses. We are looking for colleagues from the humanities, social sciences, education, gerontology or inclusion/equality offices at ENLIGHT universities, especially Galway, Uppsala and Bordeaux, to join story circles and a June 2027 Lab in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Description: LIFELINES puts age on the inclusive-campus agenda. Drawing on life-writing, oral history and collective autobiography, it uses storytelling to make generational experience visible and build trust between students, early- and late-career staff, retirees and senior learners.
Activities:
(1) story circles at each partner (Feb–Apr 2027), 6–8 people from at least three generations, two facilitated sessions each;
(2) a two-day streamed Lab at UPV/EHU in Vitoria-Gasteiz (June 2027) with cross-generational storytelling, a student-led session and a co-design workshop;
(3) open outputs (Sept 2027): a multilingual digital story collection and an Age-inclusive Campus Toolkit.
Partners already involved: UPV/EHU (coordinator), University of Galway, Uppsala University and, in kind, University of Bordeaux. We welcome further ENLIGHT colleagues in humanities, social sciences, education, gerontology or inclusion/equality offices, and students interested in co-designing the work.
