AI for Everyone

We are seeking two guest lecturers to deliver introductory classes for a diverse group of students on the topics of (1) legal aspects of AI (e.g., copyright, data privacy, and emerging regulation) and (2) impact of AI on society (e.g., ethics, labor markets, and cultural shifts).

The 'AI for everyone' course programme consists of a 9-week online track followed by an immersive week of in-person classes and workshops at Ghent University (Blended Intensive Programme). We are looking for lecturers to contribute across both phases of the programme:
Phase 1: Online Track (required)

  • Deliver a pre-recorded, introductory lecture for students to watch asynchronously.
  • Host a live, 1-hour online Q&A session to engage with the cohort and answer questions.

Phase 2: Immersive Week in Ghent (optional but highly encouraged)

  • Join us on-site at Ghent University to deliver a more in-depth lecture or facilitate a hands-on, practical workshop.

As this will already be the 5th edition of the 'AI for everyone' program, you will join an experienced team, with lecturers from Ghent University, the University of Galway, Comenius University Bratislava and the University of Göttingen.
