Crime prevention approaches, online and off-line, tackling the nexus between addictions and crime
We are Prof. Alexander Baur (Chair of Criminal Law and Criminology), Dr. Dörte Berthold (Leading Psychologist at the Lower Saxony Forensic Treatment Facility) and Elena Schaffeld (research associate) – an interdisciplinary research group with expertise in psychology and psychotherapy, sociology, criminology, political science and law. Our team works in English, Spanish and German and offers strong interdisciplinary competence at the intersection of addiction, crime, criminal justice, treatment systems and legal frameworks.
In particular, Prof Baur and his team are expressing their interest as project partner (not coordinator) for the following call: HORIZON-CL3-2026-01-FCT-04: Crime prevention approaches, online and off-line, tackling the nexus between addictions and crime (Deadline: 05 November 2026).
