Description: Balance disorders are frequently observed in older adults and are particularly common among individuals with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and stroke. The multidimensional aspect of balance requires an interdisciplinary approach to understand and treat balance disorders in these populations. Therefore, we established a network focused on balance disorders that will connect expertise in neurology, movement science, physiotherapy and vestibular rehabilitation to develop innovative learning experiences and foster impactful research collaborations. The aims of this network are to increasing learning opportunities concerning balance disorders in different populations for both students and healthcare professionals, enhance international education for students in professions involved in rehabilitation, promote student awareness around inclusion and disability and strengthen joint research opportunities. The planned initiatives included the exchange of teaching materials, to provide guest lectures, to organize (hybrid) workshops and student events.
