Ban Ki-moon Global Citizen Mentorship Program Launch Event

The Ban Ki-moon Centre’s Mentorship Program 2021 will empower 21 young women currently studying in a field related to Global Health – closely linked to SDG 3 ‘Good health and well-being’ – to become leaders in research and practice so that they can support in building a more sustainable and equitable future in healthcare for us all.

Together with the newly formed ENLIGHT Network of 9 European Universities which focuses on “Health and Well-Being” as one of its 5 Flagship Challenges/Domains, the BKMC will help empower these young women through:

• on-one-one mentoring;

• peer-to-peer learning;

• capacity-building for the SDGs;

• professional skill-building seminars;

• and networking opportunities to help the mentees contribute and thrive as leaders in Global Health.

The program will include mentors and mentees from 4 ENLIGHT universities based in Europe (Universities of Bordeaux, Ghent, Göttingen, and Groningen) and 3 global partners (Universities of Ibandan, Lomé, and Autónoma Metropolitana).

The kick-off event will take place on 24 June and is livestreamed on YouTube: https://youtu.be/SbUfzRsyCHs
