Understanding and Overcoming Health Inequalities: Join the IMPULSE Summer School 2026

As part of the ETN IMPULSE project, the University of Bordeaux is organising a three-day summer school module on 17–19 June 2026 in Bordeaux. The module is integrated into the annual public health programme of the Isped 2026 International Summer School.

The theme of the module is: Sex, Gender and Health: Understanding and Overcoming Inequalities (IMPULSE)

The course is co-developed and delivered by representatives from the seven ENLIGHT universities participating in the IMPULSE project: University of Bordeaux, Comenius University Bratislava, University of the Basque Country; University of Bern; University of Göttingen; Uppsala University; University of Galway

Scholarships and Funding

Scholarships covering travel and accommodation costs in Bordeaux are available for students from partner universities. Each participating university will award between one and three grants.

As the number of funded places is limited, applications will be subject to selection.

Applicants who are not selected for funding will be invited to register at their own expense until 31 March 2026.

This summer module offers an opportunity to engage with students and staff from across the ENLIGHT alliance and to explore health inequalities related to sex and gender from interdisciplinary perspectives, including public health, social sciences and law.

The next edition of the module will take place in Bratislava.
