Taskforce Discussed Mobility with Students in Bern
Between 3 and 6 November 2025, the Mobility Taskforce brought together partners from across the alliance to strengthen student mobility.
International learning experiences for students lie at the heart of the ENLIGHT alliance’s mission. However, only a minority of students access programme-related studies abroad. To reduce barriers and, in this vein, increase mobility among the ENLIGHT student community, the Mobility Taskforce met students who currently undertake a semester exchange or participated in a short-term Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) of a partner university recently. In a very fruitful exchange on communication measures for semester mobility as well as BIPs, both groups shared their perspectives and discussed solutions. As an example, all partners have agreed to introduce pre-departure sessions for students who are about to embark on a mobility programme.
The group also agreed on key action items for 2026: addressing student support for those with disabilities and tackling systemic challenges in the recognition of partner institution courses are topics that will be prioritized in upcoming meetings.
