ENLIGHT Alumni Network
The second virtual gathering of the ENLIGHT Alumni Professionals Network, held on October 16, 2023, saw representatives from seven of the ten ENLIGHT universities come together online to discuss and deliberate on the crucial theme of Alumni Strategy.
During the meeting, the participants shared insights and experiences on fostering stronger connections with their alumni and acknowledged that they found themselves in various phases of developing our alumni strategies. ‘This diversity offered a valuable opportunity for us to learn from one another's experiences and tailor our approaches to alumni engagement’, said Remco Kouwenhoven, Director Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy at the University of Groningen. The attendees also emphasized the crucial role that the commitment of the University's Board plays in the success of an alumni strategy. Support from university leadership is instrumental in driving alumni engagement initiatives and ensuring their long-term success.
All involved agreed that the next alumni meeting would focus on the topic of Alumni Platform. The University of Göttingen has graciously offered to host the next gathering, where universities will continue to exchange ideas and experiences to further enhance their alumni engagement strategies.
