We would like to invite academics, PhD students, students and external stakeholders of ENLIGHT partner universities to the Humour as a Communication Tool Workshop on 14 February 2024. The workshop will be held at Comenius University in Bratislava in cooperation with RED NOSE Clowndoctors organisation, a Regional Academy of Comenius University that uses the art of clowning to bring humour and laughter to people in need of joy.
Are you curious about the following topics?
- What exactly is humour?
- Importance of the presence of humour in professional communication.
- What kind of humour exists and how it can help us qualitatively when communicating with the patient.
- How does humour in staff communication help patients?

Programme
On 14 February at 10:00-18:00, the workshop is divided into two parts:
Part 1:
Practical workshop. The target group are CU local and international students of the Bratislava medical faculty (4th year, general medicine, English Study Programme), practicing doctors from the CU university hospital and nurses. The time-framework: 10.00 - 14.00.
Part 2:
Open discussion and brainstorming in the field. The target group are CU and ENLIGHT academics and external stakeholders. Goal: new initiatives within ENLIGHT – teaching, researching, joint projects (including ENLIGHT 2.0 Calls) etc.
The time-framework: 15.00-18.00
