STAFF WEEKS
Hive Dynamics for Resilience & Campus Security
About
Summary
Hive Dynamics for Resilience & Security is an Erasmus+ Staff Week that explores how principles from Nature and hive organisation can inspire resilient and secure systems in higher education.
Just like a bee colony, universities operate as complex, interdependent ecosystems that must respond to crises, adapt to change, and protect their community. Through a combination of expert talks, interactive workshops, and immersive simulations, participants will explore themes such as crisis management, student wellbeing, radicalisation, and security governance.
By connecting real-world practices, ranging from crisis response simulations to insights from the Honey Bee Hive, this programme invites participants to reflect on how collective intelligence, adaptive coordination, and distributed responsibility can strengthen institutional resilience and security.
