Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior
This course is presented by the University of Tartu.
This course is more than an academic subject. It is a transformative learning experience that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to thrive in people-centered organizations.

It blends rigorous academic theory with immersive real-world application, rooted in team-based learning and self-managed collaboration.
This final-semester bachelor's course brings together international students from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. In the current academic year, 27 students participated. The course builds essential knowledge and practical skills in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Organizational Behavior (OB), while also enhancing the transferable competencies needed in today’s dynamic labor market. Students explore human behavior within organizations and the strategic role HRM plays in organizational success. A student-centered, interactive approach is employed, incorporating selfmanagement (holocracy) principles and the flipped classroom model. Students work in fixed teams throughout the course, assessing group dynamics and reflecting on their individual roles and development.
At the end of the course, students are able to identify problems, analyse them, develop innovative solutions, and prepare policy papers.
