Online course 'Climate Adaptation Governance'

It’s probably the biggest challenge of the 21st century: the climate crisis. How we can adapt to these consequences was the main subject of the Climate Adaptation Week on 19th to 25th January 2021 in Groningen.

During the Climate Adaptation Week, 8th Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon and the CEO of the Global Center on Adaptation, Prof. Patrick Verkooijen together with UG/Campus Fryslân launched the online course on Climate Adaptation Governance - Making Climate Adaptation Happen available on an online educational platform free of charge for ENLIGHT students and (policy) professionals interested or working in political science, environmental management, risk management, governance studies, and other related social science fields.

The course focused on questions like: How can tourism and climate adaptation shape our natural surroundings into a flourishing countryside, thriving towns, and booming cities? And how do these landscapes sway our identity and society?
