The second ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning Conference will be hosted by the University of Göttingen on November 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2022. The central conference theme will be diversity and inclusion in higher education. We invite teachers and learners from the nine ENLIGHT universities to participate, engage in lively discussions and contribute to shaping the ENLIGHT community spirit.

Call for participation in the 3rd edition of Challenge-based Education training

ENLIGHT promotes innovative teaching and learning approaches, one of them being the Challenge-Based Education (CBE) methodology and this is a call for participants in the 3rd edition of the CBE training sessions for educators.

The focus of CBE is on incorporating real-life cases into the teaching of university courses along with working on students' 21st century skills. CBE is not only for designing new courses, but a teaching and learning strategy that can be introduced into existing courses as smaller teaching units.

This online training opportunity is targeted towards educators or educational designers who would like to gain deeper insights into theory and practice of CBE. The training team will go over relevant frameworks, examples of previous courses and practice applying these principles with colleagues from the ENLIGHT university network.

Networking Skills for Early Career Researchers - 25th October 2022

This event is brought to you by the ENLIGHT team working on the 'promotion of early career development and imrpove researcher assessment' section of the ENLIGHT-RISE project.

One of the key engagements of ENLIGHT is to create a balanced network across different social, economic and geographic areas in Europe, with careful attention to the way expertise and opportunities are shared across the network, and to develop a supportive structure for talent development, career guidance, and business ideas.

In this online workshop we will hear from two researchers who will share their experience of networking and how it has helped them build professional networks and research collaborations.

ENLIGHT Student Network launches Sustainable Best Practice guide

The ENLIGHT Student Network is proud to launch a guide of sustainable best practices across our nine ENLIGHT universities.

With the guide the 'SN' aims to raise awareness about the responsibility of universities to address the world's most pressing challenges (SDGs), and to share and gain inspiration for our path to go greener. To this end, the SN highlights three best practices at each ENLIGHT university to learn from each other and to provide an inspirational framework to learn, listen and help each other in achieving more.

ENLIGHT online language courses for students and staff

Take a virtual language course together with ENLIGHT students and colleagues! Several partners are opening up virtual language courses for students and staff of the different partner universities.

Experts in linguistics and multilingualism are working together in ENLIGHT, exchanging best practices and discussing ideas and initiatives such as language policies and language testing practices, linguistic entry requirements, approaches towards multilingual awareness and multilingual citizenship and opportunities for promoting multilingual initiatives within ENLIGHT. They have agreed to open a selection from the online course offer for learners across the network. Students and staff can participate under the same conditions as local students or staff.
