University of Bordeaux - Call for ENLIGHT Education and Research Initiatives

Context

ENLIGHT is an alliance funded by the European Commission (EC) under the “European University Initiative" (Erasmus + and H2020 programmes). The EC has put the “European University Initiative" at the centre of its strategy for universities, by aiming at deeper international cooperation within Europe and beyond, by supporting universities in becoming more outward looking and competitive on the global scene, and in contributing to the strengthening of higher education systems in partner countries. The strategy also recognises excellence and inclusion as a distinctive feature of European higher education, exemplary for our European way of life.

Achieving inclusion and excellence requires synergies between the European Higher Education Area and the European Research Area as well as appropriate funding for universities at local, regional, national and European levels.

In order to support joint activities in the area of research, innovation and education within the alliance, the University of Bordeaux aims at funding collaborative projects to encourage the emergence or consolidation of cooperation between partners.

The “University of Bordeaux - Call for ENLIGHT Education and Research Initiatives” is supported by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation through its Investment for the Future programme (PIA) and the French National Research Agency (ANR).
