Extra national funding for ENLIGHT

Several countries are supporting the European University Initiatives with accompanying national funding and support measures. The universities of Göttingen and Bratislava have obtained additional funding for ENLIGHT by their respective governments.

The European Universities Initiative should build on a concerted action from universities, governments and EU institutions to be succesfull. This implies long-term funding, but also commitments regarding the recognition of degrees, streamlining quality assurance and tackling mobility barriers. More information on UGOE - CU

First "Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens - ENLIGHT Meeting

On 29 January, a first meeting was held with our associate partner, the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens (BKMC). This meeting was a wonderful opportunity for ENLIGHT partners to gain detailed insight on the content and impact of BKMC's activities at global level, to share common BKMC-ENLIGHT values and to envision collaboration for the coming years with the ambition to inspire younger generations to solve local and global challenges. Thank you Monika Froehler, BKMC CEO and ENLIGHT External Advisory Board Member, and the BKMC, ENLIGHT Associated Partner.
