We are a research group consisting of pedagogues and sociologists at the Institute of Sport Science at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen in Germany. We are currently studying experiences of disconcertment in physical education using a qualitative study with a multi-method design, incorporating semi-structured interviews, short narrations and digital ethnography.
For us, disconcertment refers to a complex topic area consisting of fear, shame, bullying, etc., which is closely linked to the flagship area "Health and Well-being".
We are interested in an international exchange on the topic of disconcertment. To this end, we are looking for other scientists from the ENLIGHT network who are working on • similar topics in sportive settings, • didactic settings (with or without sport reference, within or outside the school context) or • methodical and methodological considerations for researching disconcertment. The goals of the exchange could be the initiation of joint conferences, research visits and furthermore, in the long term, the application for joint projects.
